"The centre cannot hold ..."

With the ongoing unrest in the US, the emerging war between Israel and the Hamas, and the radicalization of the populations everywhere, I'm suddenly thinking of the famous poem by William Butler Yeats, "The Second Coming". It states that the centre cannot hold - definitely true - and of a beast that slouches towards Bethlehem to be born - a clear reference to the Antichrist in the Book of Revelations.

Any thoughts on this?
