In the 2016 and 2020 elections, more people voted for the Democrat than the Republican, even after accounting for the suspicious votes in the second one. And, if DC and Puerto Rico are included, America should be a solid blue majority.
So why should the US not be a social democratic country? I fear the result, but the leftists radicals have a point.

What USA politics is mostly about is those in the populated places voting against those out in the country. The major cites in the USA are all dark blue. The big problem here in NV, is Las Vegas is dark blue. Reno is divided, and the rest of the state is dark red. We have had issues on our ballot where only one county voted yes (Clark County--Las Vegas area) and every other county in NV voted no, and it passed. Such as on this issue.Clark County has a higher population than all the other counties in NV combined. -Don- Reno, NV
