Personally, I've never believed in ETs. However, there is much circumstantial (to the GP) evidence regarding such beings that it does make one pause. It's difficult for me to believe that if such beings ever existed that they would not have been made public by now.
Incidentally, interesting article.

I don't think the government wants to make them public because that would undermine their position in society as protectors. As to why the ETs themselves don't reveal themselves it is anybody's guess. It evidently does not suit their purposes at this time.

I didn't believe either, but, like you, after reviewing the evidence, I was no longer a skeptic. In fact, an astronomer did a survey of other astronomers, and he found out that, the more they studied the subject, the more likely they were to believe something is going on. I have been studying this informally, so I also agree something is going on, though what that something is, I don't know.

I did not want to believe but after I saw one I had to--although after a 2 week battle for my soul.

It's true - They are among us!!! Workers at the nation’s best known fast-food restaurants in seven cities across America are planning to walk off the job Monday to protest what they say are wages that are too low to live on. In a move orchestrated with the help of powerful labor unions and clergy groups, the workers plan to strike for a day to demand their wages be doubled.
The Washington Post reports that the protests will take place in New York City, Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Kansas City, and Flint, Mich., involving workers at McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's and KFC. Some employees at stores including Dollar Tree, Macy's and Victoria's Secret are also expected to join the protesters in several cities.

check the thread "My UFO History" I don't know you well enough yet to really form an opinion of what you wrote there. Nor am I convinced that there are such things as ET, but somewhere in the deepest, darkest depth of my pea brain there is some skepticism. Still in all, if someone like another member of this forum had written such a thing I would accuse him of going off the deep end. I would imagine you get that from 99% of the people you meet and tell any UFO story.

I was a skeptic until I began looking at the evidence. I have also corresponded with Stanton Friedman, a noted ufologist who is also a retired nuclear physicist.

I've spoken with Mr. Friedman on the phone a number of times. He is very kind and accessible. He truly is responsible for a lot of the credibility that UFOlogy has today.

I still cannot make the leap from my acceptance of very advanced life on other planets, to making the journey of maybe 10+ light years to Earth (and 10 years back home).
Explain that, and I will (almost) be a convert.
