Don, he wrote it was illegal, not that it wasn't done. Usually courts rule here that there is no right to privacy when you're doing something public. Crime cameras on the streets for an example. If you're out on the street, you're in the public and know such. Same can be said for conversations on ham radio, etc. In fact, it's illegal to use any type of encryption on ham radio as our FCC requires it to be intelligible to anybody who can listen, government or private citizen. -Don-

Thanks, Mc, I'm glad someone noticed the difference. I never claimed people didn't break the law, so I don't see your point. I just have a hard time believing there's such a stupid law. Not that I expect it to be enforced, in such cases as listening to a public conversation. -Don-
