No, Tet, Jerry doesn't think air crews were REMFs. Jerry said that many Infantry pukes think air crews were REMFs because you all got to sleep in bunks at night. The title of REMF seemed to be bestowed not on the degree of danger one faced, but on the availability of creature comforts. Bunks, showers and hot chow seem to be the most important....

We did have a bunk there was a mess hall but C rations were the preferred meal there was a shower the water was from a tank on the roof our day was usually 16 hours starting at 4:00 am till when ever .

No but they was a 'ho house open 24/7 and they did house calls they'd push their ass up against the fence and bend over , wasn't exactly love but for two dollars it served it's purpose .

This photo is of a Chinook that was hit by a round from a RPG of course there were no survivors this was a crewmembers biggest fear a flamer your forward movement made the fire burn hotter.

I saw a clip, and later some stills, of a Caribou that took a round from an American 105mm.
Sheer horrible bad luck, and it blew the tail right off and the rest hit the ground upside down.
