We're talking about it on our FB group, so I'll post my thoughts here as well.
The Soviet campaign took place after the D-Day, and, when it was over, about 350,000 Germans soldiers of Army Group Centre were killed or missing. A big hole was torn in the Wehrmacht's front lines, and they had to find bits and pieces to fill in that gap. But it was not the decisive battle - the war, against both Axis powers, was one of attrition, which mean one battle after another to grind the enemy to dust.
