Not on Congressional parties or videos, but on infrastructure.
That's almost $700 billion to do what the government should be doing, as opposed to taking credit for the success of private individuals' businesses.
And let's not forget that, with the bankruptcy of so many American cities, infrastructure will continue to be neglected.

When the stimulus was introduced, that's what I thought they had in mind with the "shovel ready jobs". Turned out what they actually had in mind was propping up failing municipalities in order to "save jobs" and providing 'goodies' to compaign contributers....Solindra, etc... shame what power can do to some people...

That's one of the criticism of Keynesian policy, that the money will be wasted.

Swampy,
"the money will be wasted."
At the GFC, our socialist government was given the advice of Treasury to "Go hard, go families, go soon".
The next day they announced a cash grant to EVERY family in Australia of $900.
We went down to 'City Hall' and paid our 'city taxes' a year in advance. It was later revealed that the turnover of the poker machine (pokies) industry went through the roof. Also the sales of (Chinese) TV sets did the same.
I will bet 'pubs and clubs" did too.
