An example,
In 1944/45 the USA was ferrying large numbers of aircraft to Britain via Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Greenland and Iceland.
A flight of P-38s and B-17s began this journey and after leaving Nuuk they headed for Iceland. On the way they encountered strong head winds, and soon saw that they were not goimg to make it to Reykjevik. They landed on the Greenland ice cap in the southern part of it in line with the flight path to Iceland (Check it out on Google Earth).
In 1995 a group of men decided to have a go at retrieving a P-38 and so set up the project. They eventually found the planes TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY (240') FEET UNDER the ice cap surface.
So, in 50 years of "Global Warming" the Greenland Ice Cap, in the SOUTHERN (warmest?) part of it, had GROWN by about 5 feet A YEAR, every year.
So, the P-38 had NOT sunk into the solid ice, it had been covered by snow falls compacted into ICE!
So, when a Global Warming 'Expert' tells me that the Greenland ice cap, most of which is in a COLDER area than the P-38, is melting, then I know he is trying to sell me a pup!
Telling me LIES even!
The Greenland Ice cap is on average near 9000' thick with a max of abourt 12,000'. Get back to me when it gets down to 5000 feet!
We have an 'Expert' here in Australia (Tim Flannery) (we have 25 million experts here) . His highly esteemed reputation is second to none according to the media. Over the past 30 years he has given us the benefit of his vast experience as a PALEONTOLOGIST to tell us that the city of Perth in Western Australia would be the first city on the planet to be abandoned for lack of water. The Perth dams are FULL! In the eastern states they are overflowing.
So, when a bunch of experts feed me bullshit for 30 years, any claims that "the science is settled" will have a VERY hard time.

"On 15 July 1942, due to poor weather and limited visibility, six P-38 fighters of 94th Fighter Squadron/1st FG and two B-17 bombers of a bombardment squadron were forced to return to Greenland en route to the British Isles during Operation Bolero and made emergency landings on the ice field. All the crew members were subsequently rescued, but Glacier Girl, along with the unit's five other fighters and the two B-17s, were eventually buried under 268 feet (82 m) of snow and ice that built up over the ensuing decades."

On the world's largest island, scientists say something frighteningly remarkable is happening. Greenland's ice sheet is melting at an astonishing rate, according to researchers.
Who are the researchers and when did they 'research' in the island wide, field or was it just guess work?
While September traditionally marks the end of the ice-melt season for the massive island, this year, something alarming is happening, Scientific American reported.
Scientists are looking at an area twice the size of France and noticing a high rate of ice melt continuing into a part of the year when it would usually be halted by colder weather.
Xavier Fettweis, a climate scientist at the University of Liège in Belgium, called the strong melting rate so late in the year "exceptional."
Climate scientists have put Greenland's melting ice sheet at the top of their list of natural concerns as the Earth as a whole is said to be warming.
Climate scientists owe their salary and career prospects to published opinions and they would be silenced if they stop toeing the party line. Just like the "peer reviews" that they never seem to use any more because of lack of cred. No "peer" is going to tell an author his work is BS!
Expert opinion does NOT trump the physical FACT that the 5 feet a year is being ADDED to the Greenland ice cap in southern Greenland only 100 kms from that island in the article pic. The pic is of nothing more than a few random icebergs that could be from Antarctica for all we know.
The Greenland Ice cap is permanently at minus degrees centigrade, and ice does NOT melt at that state. It is 1000s of feet above sea level, and you lose 3F for every 1000 feet of altitude.
And for Greenland, the island's melting ice is currently pouring around 250 billion tons of ice into the ocean every year. It's being dumped into the sea in the form of disintegrating glaciers along with surface ice that is melting.
How can they possibly know it is 250 BILLION tons of ice every year? Yet another "estimate/guess/fabrication" to add impact to the drama?
The more the melting continues, the less snow will accumulate. That means future ice melts will persist in this extended manner.
Glaciers have been 'calving' for 1000s of years as they slide downhill from inland to the sea. It is what glaciers DO! In both the Arctic and Antarctic. New ice is added to the glacier at the top of the hill as the lower bit calves. Take a look at Greenland in Google Earth and see the whole? coastline is near ice free and the vastly larger centre is under many 1000s of feet of ice.

FAR too many scandals like the 'emails' big one at the Uni of East Anglia, found to be blameless by none other than the IPCC at the UN.

I would have told them it was BS. However, I think there are a lot of facts with the climate change. But a few people are saying it is BS, for whatever reason. As soon as a scientific issue becomes political, we hear a lot of BS. We have to separate the politics from scientific fact. Sorry Don. Too long for this old codger, but a couple of observations,
When they tell India and China to do what they are asking the USA and Australia to do then I will listen.
Calling China a 'developing nation' is a cop out and makes what you and I are doing a pointless exercise. And our Weather Bureau is now stacked from top to bottom with "warmies", and all they ever tell us is in accordance with the party line.
We are just finishing our winter and it has been a bad one, nothing drastic on a day but every/most days is a clear trend to colder days. We have not seen a 20C day since about early May and we usually see 3 or 4 in August. Population in 1850 was about 10% of today and we are all still breathing out CO2. Livestock numbers are the same, if not a lot more.

They are more modern than the USA in so many ways. Especially with green energy. They also have the most EVs in the world.
