Why? If Russia can't take on the Ukraine, how can it take on NATO? And, don't forget, the alliance would have help from a good portion of the world, like Japan, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, and so on.

They are even worse than Canada, both living off Big Brother west or south of them.
A war between NZ and Canada would be " a damned close run thing".

New Zealand fought in both World Wars, and every little bit helps. I do think that NZ should join Australia, just as Canada should join the US - and then Australia and NZ should join the US.
After that, we can talk to Britain.

I know, that is where we got the ANZAC from.
In WW2 we fought at Gallipoli as a combined force, two Divisions of Australian and one Division of NZ troops. NZ has 2 main islands, North Island and South Island, ansd some unkind Kiwis call us WEST Island!
I think the relationship with the various Big Brothers is too far gone now, and I cannot see Canada, Australia, or NZ adopting it. It would be nothing more than an 'American Empire' and we all know what the socialist government in the USA would think about that.
