The octopus' brains are distributed not just in its head but along its eight arms, so it may think differently. That may be true, but I wonder if ideas can truly be different, because 1 + 1 equals 2 on a base 10 system. Even if they use a base 8 system, it would still be similar to ours, and it just has to be translated differently. The other issue is that
I've noticed, in my studies, that all subject areas have different ways of thinking, so I wonder if these ways of thinking, together, would form an overall system of thought, which must be universal to all creatures.
The study of intelligence is fascinating.
