Be sure it is a "charge only" cable and then you will be okay as that will not let any data pass, just will charge the battery. -Don- Mission, TX (near the southern tip, 3km from Mexico)

What you want to be safe is the cheapest USB cable that you can find as it is more likely to only have two wires in it to charge the battery. Data cables have a wire to every pin on the connector. The charge only cables have no way to pass data from the phone. They are for the battery only. -Don- (at a rest stop on the NM/Texas border). I am here.
