Neal Armstrong died today at age 82. A great man who had a great life. R.I.P.

sad news, I remember well that day.
I took a "sickie" from work and kept the kids home from school to watch history as it happened. I still have the newspaper front pages in the shed.

Hollywood and novelist James Michener got it backwards about the missions Neil Armstrong flew in Korea, but the man who took "one giant leap for mankind" let it pass. click
