Swampy I've looked at your link the dates aren't right the tet started 1/31/68 an lasted appx. 8 weeks non stop , my unit from time to time were engaged in the fight for Tay nihn in early Feb. and the boots on the ground were mostly from the 25th id , as I said Tay nihn was pretty much back burner as the battles for Saigon and Hue was far more important .

I'm never wrong but I sometimes err , I checked with my old Platoon leader about Tay Nihn and Swampy's info is correct the battle for Tay Nihn was fought in 1969 ,what we were fighting there were elements of the NVA/VC that went to ground there during their retreat from the Saigon area .
