Here's a brief review of the new book coming out regarding the killing of bin Laden. It raises some questions about the actual shooting and makes a few 'unflatering' remarks regarding President Obama and vice-pres Joe Biden
WASHINGTON -- A firsthand account of the Navy SEAL raid that killed Osama bin Laden contradicts previous accounts by administration officials, raising questions as to whether the terror mastermind presented a clear threat when SEALs first fired upon him. Link

Thing is that there's no way of separating fact from fiction. There was a previous book, Lone Survivor, which was panned by people in the special forces community.

>>(Reuters) - The Pentagon warned on Thursday that it was considering legal action against a former U.S. Navy SEAL for material breach of non-disclosure agreements with his first-hand account of the raid that killed Osama bin Laden.
In a letter obtained by Reuters, and subsequently released by the Pentagon, the Pentagon's top attorney said the Department of Defense was also considering legal action against anyone "acting in concert" with the author. It hinted that the book's royalties might be subject to government claims.<<
How many breaches of security has Obama and his administration made in the last twelve months? Some were breaches that put men’s lives in jeopardy. Yet let a book be written that contradicts Obama’s propaganda, and they want to take legal action.
The Dems eleventh commandment seems to be, “Thou shallt not controdict the One.

Swampy>>if he did violate his duty of confidentiality,<<
Remember, the White House had already covered the same ground with their version of the operation. How can it be a violation of confidentiality for one, but not the other?

Good point - I guess it all depends on the details that have been revealed.

Unfortunately, In this case, I don't think it will be a disinterested party who makes the decision as to whether his info is more secret than the White House info....

I can just picture Eric Holder holding an inquisition while he dodges Fast and Furious charges.

I can just picture Eric Holder holding an inquisition while he dodges Fast and Furious charges. Make a big enough deal of it and the media will forget all about Fast and Furious (they pretty much have already anyway....)

I think the DoD is just looking for cover. It has to say something about the Seal Team member's leaks, if any, and whether or not the DoD approves of them. But it can bet that Obummer and crew have been on the phone day and night telling the DoD to shut up and not pursue this matter because it is already putting the spotlight on Obummer's possy (or are they called "homies" now so as not to be confused with pussies?)
Excuse me for violating the State Dept's new list of politically incorrect language. I think "day and night" means street hos and everyone knows that refers to black street hos. And "it has to say something" is a variant of thhe eubonics expression "what you say?" And, of course "leaks" is really a reference to some weird STD. And, "shut up" is a mere contraction of "shut up bitch" a guideline for Holder's DoJ when going after anyone trying to stop the spread of Chicago voting practices.

By Gawd, Tim, I think you borke the code! Seriously - DoD had to say something to cover their butts... I doubt it will ever come to trial....

From last May:
The chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee said Monday the White House was behind recent national security leaks in part, but would not implicate President Obama on the matter, the Associated Press reports.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said that although she is sure the president is not disclosing secret information to the public, she wasn’t as sure about other White House staff.
“I think the White House has to understand that some of this is coming from their ranks,” she said at a World Affairs Council forum, according to AP. But on Obama, she said, “I don’t believe for a moment that he goes out and talks about it.”
Attorney General Eric Holder has launched an investigation looking into the leaks that revealed cyber-attacks against Iran and a plot by al Qaida to bomb an airliner.
