Nick Pope was working for the UK's MOD, and he was skeptical until he began looking at the data. Then, like me, he realized something was going on.

Coincidentally, I just finished an old Asimov story that explains UFOs as well as anything I have heard. Briefly - ETs have been watching earth for a long time from a far distance. Then we discovered the atomic bomb. Their knowledge of history of other aggressively competitive civilizations taught them that, within five years of the discovery of atomic power, a massive atomic war would be unleashed. They have been camped on our moon waiting for that nuclear war to start so they could come in, after the total destruction, to save the survivors, and decontaminate the planet. After the five years had passed and we did not have our predicted nuclear war, they became impatient and decided to "mind probe" an earthling to determine why we had not had our war within the predicted time frame. This adequately explains the sighting of 'flying saucers' in the years immediately following WWII and the more recent 'abduction' stories that followed. i won't tell the rest of the story in case some of you would be interested in reading "Vulture". So now you know....

Asimov never believed in UFO's being craft from outer space, but he was a good story teller.
Anyway, see the evidence in the next little while, especially from the militaries around the world, and decide for yourself. Just keep an open mind.

I'm also coming around to the even more heretical view that they may have been in on our genetic formulation in the first place. Just as pure science. Not spookiness at all.
