I nearly became a believer. Two nights ago as I let the dog out the back door, I noticed a flashing red and blue light off through the trees that seemed to be stationary about six feet off the ground. Not wanting to miss an opportunity, I ran (at least it approached a run) into the house, grabbed my camera and drove around the block to get to the other side of the trees.
Sorry I have no photos as I didn't think a picture of a cop car stopped to give out a ticket would be newsworthy....

I saw a red and blue flashing object decades ago, when I was young and in Singapore, I turned away then turned back, and it was gone. But I don't just consider what I see; I read the accounts and consider the evidence.

I wasn't in Vietnam, but I presume it exists and a war or two was fought over that territory. What say you about the Korean War?

Huh? The Korean War? Don't understand?

You asked if I trusted others before I trusted my own eyes, and I said I would have to, because I wasn't in Vietnam, so I rely on the experiences of others. If you weren't in the Korean War, would you not trust others before trusting your own eyes?

Trusting others when you have not witnessed something is quite different than trusting others when you HAVE seen something which is opposed to what they are telling you. For the record - I did not see Korea or WWII but I do believe that they happened because I have seen the results. I've also seen the results of the US Civil War, but not WWI or the Spanish-American War but I do believe that they happened because there are an overwhelming number of reports that they did. (Not as many credible reports of UFOs that can't be explained by natural occurrences and which stand up to logical thought processing)

(Not as many credible reports of UFOs that can't be explained by natural occurrences and which stand up to logical thought processing) I used to think the same but not after reading the reports. Let the debate begin! John Sime, can you get others to chime in?

Your initial post makes no sense. From what you say you obviously knew it was a police car stopped to give a ticket, so why take a photo, unless you wanted a photo of a police car (or maybe just wanted a wind-up?)
What if the lights had been yellow and purple?

From what you say you obviously knew it was a police car stopped to give a ticket, so why take a photo, unless you wanted a photo of a police car (or maybe just wanted a wind-up?) What if the lights had been yellow and purple? I investigated an unexplained sighting of flashing red and blue lights and didn't know it was a police car until I got to the place of the sighting, and that's why I didn't take a picture. I have no idea what would have happened if the lights were yellow and purple because they were not yellow and purple. If they were yellow and purple, it probably would not have been a police car. Other than that, I can't speculate, as I find it a waste of time to speculate.

One night a few years ago, I was driving through Waupun, Wisconsin during a snow storm. Suddenly I noticed a brightly lit object in the air, not far off the ground. The closer I got I realized that it had a square shape and was perhaps 50 or 60 feet in the air. I got closer and I realized that there were creatures perfectly visible inside the craft, at least two of them. I got closer and realized they appeared to be humanoid. The craft did not move in any direction. I became tremendously excited. I got still closer and finally realized I was in fact looking at a guard tower of the state prison. The structure beneath it made totally invisible by the darkness and the snow. I'm glad I did not stop my car and try to make contact with the occupants by waving and shouting at them.

Reminds me of an experience I had back in the late '50s. I was driving home in the very early morning (it was still dark) after having spent the night fishing on Lake Erie. Suddenly there appeared in the road directly in front of me ---- a white barn. I slammed on the brakes and continued to look at this barn in the middle of the road in total detail - structure, lighted windows, cows tied up inside. It lasted a number of seconds until it faded away. I'm glad that it happened at that time of the morning when traffic was non-existent or I may have been seriously rear ended trying to not hit an hallucination brought on by lack of sleep.
