Violent riots in Pakistan cause the deaths of at least 3 folks. The government actually declared a holiday on Friday so folks could protest and then was faced with more violence than they bargained on. Much property was destroyed - how that added anything to the message the protesters were trying to send, or how it venerated the prophet, I have no idea - but it brought out the Paki cops with live ammo. The film denigrating the Prophet Muhammad has sparked unrest in many parts of the Muslim world over the past 10 days, and the deaths of at least 31 people, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya, have been linked to the violence. Much of the anger has been directed at the U.S. government even though the film was privately produced in the U.S. and American officials have criticized it for insulting Muslims.Pakistan has experienced nearly a week of violent rallies against the film in which three people have died. The government declared Friday to be a national holiday and encouraged people to protest peacefully. Interesting story here

No logic, the USA just serves as an external scapegoat to vent the frustration with their own poor living conditions. Since a couple of years they try to gain moral superiority by declaring their life as more agreeable to God then the decadent life in the West and the more engaged for their religion they are the more superior they are, but at the end of the day they are still frustrated with their lives, that they who life the word of Allah are not better of than those infidels. As long as they had a good living they were not so strictly interested in these matters, but the economical crisis has fueled this.

They are an illogical people. That is why it is wishful thinking to believe that Iran and its nukes can be contained by the theory of "mutually assured destruction" as was the Soviet Union or even North Korea.... When the President talks down a well to an invisible Imam, one should not need more proof that logic does not prevail....

B.K. Bangash/Associated Press Pakistani protesters shouted anti-U.S. slogans at a rally in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, on Friday.
Five people were killed and 60 wounded in the northwestern city of Peshawar, a gun-ridden city in the northwest of the country.
Muslims also marched in at least a half-dozen other countries, with some burning American flags and effigies of U.S. President Barack Obama. Details here Opinion polls show a majority of Pakistanis view the United States as an enemy. Many people in the country believe conspiracy theories about the U.S. working to steal Pakistan's nuclear weapons or funding ethnic insurgencies against the state.
So much for reaching out to Muslims.....

You mean the regime in NK is more rational than the one in Iran? Marginally so, yes. At least their president doesn't talk to Imams, or anyone else, down wells....
