Flowermonkey,
A POM!!!
Don't tell me you are a cricket fan. We try not to mention it over here in recent years. Things have not turned out well and the last two 'Ashes Tours' are best left in the past.
Mr Ponting will soon be consigned to the dustbin of history, closely followed by Mr Clarke.
Our families convict ancestors, all 7+ of them, came from Cambridge. London, Hampshire and Nth Ireland.

Swampy,
"Pom" is Australianese for "Limey" or "Brit".
When they give us a hiding in various sports, (Cricket?) we usually change it to "Bloody poms".

Flowermonkey, your spelling and grammar is just fine; no need for any apologies: jump in and join the crowd; the water's waiting!
