I have somewhere in my archives a picture of a village entrance just two stone columns looking through those columns there is nothing not a stick standing not a brick on top of a brick , the village three miles from Cu Chi was full of tunnels during the retreat of the NVA/VC from the Saigon area many of them went to ground in this village the Americans moved in earth movers leveled the town and sealed the tunnels they left the entrance columns standing maybe as a warning that killing Americans could be dangerous to your health .

The only thing keeping Americans from being brutal in war is our politicians , if our enemy's were allowed to see just how bad picking a fight with America can be they would avoid any conflict , instead we show or send the wrong message as we did at Benghazi .

The Geneva Convention has been ignored and defied constantly since the 1920s.
japanese bahavior in the Pacific caused the Allies to do the same, and few POWs were taken BUT.......

The taking of Prisoners was never high on the agenda in Vietnam , during tet it was not even a consideration by either side that is easily seen by the body counts , close to 12000 Americans , 110,000 NVA/VC in a 10-12 week period .
The village before tet had a population of about 3000 those that remained were told to get out on the same day the Army started dozing took 3 days to completely flatten the place a company of infantry was also there to shoot ANYONE that showed their face .
