Again, being cynical, I suspect that NASA needs 'proof' of water on Mars to get funding for further research, including a mission there. It is only in the last year or so that claims of "water" have surfaced.
I expect them to be disappointed.

MARS = Earth following global warming..... No, that would be Venus. Mars has the problem that its core was cooling down and so it lost its magnetic field, which led to a loose of the biggest part of its atmosphere. If the timeline of our current scientific assumptions of Mars's geological history is correct, the disaster struck before life had a chance to develop much beyond microbial life. So, if somebody offers you a T.Rex from Mars, think for a second before ordering it via ebay.
