Anything new on this, Mathias? BERLIN - German prosecutors say they have filed espionage charges against two alleged Russian agents whom they accuse of spying for information on European Union and NATO strategy. The federal prosecutors' office alleged Thursday the pair, who were arrested last October, worked in Germany for Russia's foreign intelligence service, or SVR, for more than 20 years. Prosecutors said they entered Germany in 1988 and 1990 claiming to be Austrian citizens of South American origin. The pair called themselves Andreas and Heidrun A., but prosecutors gave no further information on their identity.

They were arrested about one year ago, the woman in Marburg, Hessen, her husband at Balingen, Baden-Württemberg. At the time she was arrested, she was listening to encoded radio-transmissions - yes, they are still in use, around the world. He was more involved in industry espionage in the automotive-industry. They might have belonged to the same Russian spy-network which was partly uncovered last year in the USA, when 10 spies were arrested.
They face now crime-trials at Stuttgart. The federal state attorney is leading the prosecution. They were paid about 100 000 € per year for their services and used Sat-phones and special internet-portals to deliver their reports.
It is believed that about 4000 foreign agents are still active in Germany, mainly from Russia and China and focused on industry-espionage.

Nowadays, the Russians and Chinese only have to go to the source of all the industrial secrets, into the very company head office, where a USB stick is his main tool.
I will bet they have the plans and specs for most of the stuff, such as the B2 and F22 and lord knows what else, including the drones.
There has been a string of baddies sent to gaol for selling the stuff to the opposition. That will not change.
.....and if all else fails they can/did go to Clinton and others who will happily sell or gift it to them.
'Konkordski' or 'Shuttleski; anyone?

Especially the Russians.
Remember the Tu4?
I would venture to say that if not for theft or Western stupidity, the Russian military would be well behind. And even now it is far from the USA in capability, be that in radars or tanks or planes.
Chobham armour, the Jet engine, radar, missile technology, etc etc etc.
