There was a record heat wave in Chicago, leading to predictions of global-you-know-what, and, in September, the Windy City is seeing lower-than-normal temperatures, which will lead to either predictions of "it's climate not weather" and/or "global warming causes lower temperatures.

In the first phase global warming causes more extrem weather conditions. But, honestly 0,5° below average is not really a problem.

Stock up on fish today. They will be smaller in the future:
>OSLO (Reuters) - Fish are likely to get smaller on average by 2050 because global warming will cut the amount of oxygen in the oceans in a shift that may also mean dwindling <
Sell your gold and buy fish!

Forwarded without comment Wall Street Journal: In 10 Years, No Sign of Global WarmingTuesday, 27 Mar 2012 10:33 AM By Martin Gould World temperatures have remained virtually unchanged in the past 10 years despite predictions of global warming and America’s mildest winter in decades, Princeton physics professor William Happer contends.
Weather patterns worldwide over the past few months were very similar to those in 1942 when the continental United States basked in a warm winter at the same time that Alaska and Asia were slammed with severe weather and “General Frost” stalled the German army’s advance into Russia, Happer wrote in a Wall Street Journal Op-Ed. It seems Scotland has its Al Gores too:
To combat global warming, scientists in Scotland now suggest an out-of-this-world solution — a giant dust cloud in space, blasted off an asteroid, which would act like a sunshade for Earth.
The world is warming and the climate is changing. Although many want to prevent these shifts by reducing emissions of greenhouse gases that trap heat from the sun, some controversially suggest deliberating manipulating the planet's climate with large-scale engineering projects, commonly called geoengineering.

Let's hope none of these kooks get to implement their projects. None of them has any idea of the Law of Unintended Consequences"

Oh, I'm not using the facts - I said yesterday that temperatures have stopped rising "for half a decade" - I was of course not using the facts, because the report really referred to 15 years.
But it's still all due to GW.
