I try to learn something new every day, and today, I learned about Sedna, a Pluto-sized planetoid that's in the far reaches of the solar system. It has a strange orbit, so astronomers are asking why it got that way, and they think an Earth-sized planet even further out may have caused it to take on such an orbit. And Sedna is far from the sun, so it's cold, but its surface is apparently covered by a hydrocarbon sludge. IOW, that planetoid has lots of oil ready to be used.

Fracking wasn't possible a generation ago, but it now is. And, besides, if Julia Gillard can be thrown out of office, any miracle is possible.

Sedna is not the only planetoid beyond Pluto - Eris is another planetoid out there, and, now, astronomers have found an unnamed one, with the designation 2012 VP113, is also in the Oort Cloud region, which implies that there may be many more such bodies in the outer reaches of our solar system. The one is pink, as opposed to Sedna, which is red. I don't know why a celestial body can be pink, but women would prefer it to blue, I guess.

Feldspar is pinkish, I recall. It is (KAlSi3O8 – NaAlSi3O8 – CaAl2Si2O8) -- potassium aluminium silicate / sodium aluminium silicate / calcium aluminium silicate, which chemicals are abundant in the universe.
