The old digger stood in the mist of the rubble of the Alamo with a tear in his eye , aye he said right here it was that Col. Travis was shot , beaten , bayoneted then killed , the facts about the battle of Alamo becomes mostly B/S as time passes , but what is true and unclouded is in 1836 Sam Houston finally got his armed mob shaped into somewhat of a military cohesive mob , Houston set a trap for Santa Ana in the swampy land around the San Jacinto River it took the Texans just 18 min to defeat and mostly murder the Mexican soldiers out a force of 1500 the Texans killed 700 and wounded 249 Mexicans in just 18 min. the rest surrendered and Houston was hard put to keep the Texans from killing them .

Yeah, but wot about the Geneva Convention?
Wot about their Human Rights?
Blood thirsty American warmongers!
The Yanks don't fight wars like they used to, which is why they never win any!

In Texas Santa Ana set the trend by killing all at the Alamo and having 342 Texas prisoners murdered at Goliad , Sam Huston was very hard put to stop the killing at San Jacinto ,the Texans blood was up , must have been very bloody indeed since the most of the killing was done by Bowie type knives and bayonets , 9 Texans were killed 30 wounded no doubt there was an old digger around and possibly a Chinaman or two .

Didn't have diggers in 1836, gold had not been discovered. It was gold that bought the Chinese to America and Australia.
...and a bit more bloody killing in VN and Iraq etc would have saved a LOT of lives on both sides.
