I had a boss years ago who was fiercely Scottish. He HATED the English ("the Sassenachs") with a passion perhaps only exceeded by my Irish friends. Both are defeated peoples with no say up to now of their status.
There is a small town just up the road called Bannockburn, but nowhere in OZ is a town called Cullodon.

SJ Perhaps so, but the polls are still putting the pro-UK side ahead, by 47% to 38%, though both sides have gained in support, at the expense of the undecided category. The referendum is a month away, and, unless something drastic happens, the independence side will lose.
