It's that date again. The anniversary of the day that I got to Vietnam in 1969.
Ho Chi Minh had a heart attack and died on that same day.
I am still wondering who told him that I arrived.
Perhaps now I should take a trip to North Korea and a few other places . . .

If he died just because you arrived, then the VN War must have been winnable.

If he died just because you arrived, then the VN War must have been winnable. From a military standpoint, we did win. And won big time. Compare the numbers of the NVA/VC KIA to the US troop KIA. Remember, the purpose of our military is only to kill people and break things. We did both much better than our enemy. But the USA left Vietnam because they knew it was hopeless after my DEROS. -Big Bad Don- Reno, NV

Then you should've stayed there permanently.

Then you should've stayed there permanently. But what will we do with Vietnam after there are no Vietnamese left alive there? -Don- Reno, NV

Got to the point we couldn't kill 'em fast enough , in my AO 13000 + in 3 weeks , the whole area had the stink of death , a stink you never ever forget , burn 'em bury 'em , fly 'em out to the South China sea and dump 'em .

Then you should've stayed there permanently. But what will we do with Vietnam after there are no Vietnamese left alive there? Populate it with Australians, especially those from Melbourne.
