It's been going into everything, but it only has one source of profits, which is its search engine. And, now, it's one source's of growth is slowing, because people are using iphones, where ads are harder to see and are less lucrative. For what it's worth, I have always known that its many innovations will not work in the marketplace, because they were dreamt by paid employees. As a general rule, company workers can make marginal contributions, but not the big game-changing ones that will make tons and tons of money. If you want the big high-tech game changers, you have to get a CEO who leads the entire company to that effort, and the best examples are, of course, Steve Jobs and his idol, Edwin Land. Of course, there are always exception, like the U-2 and SR-71 designed by Lockheed or the many innovations (sticky notes) by 3M, but that's the general rule that employees have no incentives to make that kind of effort needed.
