I wonder how they did it without modern equipment.

Maybe they hired the contractors that built the ancient structures now under water in the Answan Dam in Egypt Swampy, structures that could not be moved using "modern" technology?
How much do we really know about past civilisations and the many sites around the world that they left behind, many hidden from view like the underground city in Turkey.

We don't know that much, I will agree. I know what you're getting at, and I will be open minded about it.

More probably, use of many, many slaves working long hours.... But how could they dig all those tunnels so deep into the ground? They would still need modern equipment, and, without proper ventilation, they would have died without accomplishing their goals.

They would still need modern equipment, and, without proper ventilation, they would have died without accomplishing their goals. How did they build those big pyramids without modern trucks and cranes? How did they cut the stone into blocks without modern equipment? Slaves. I, too, marvel at their ingenuity, but with enough people it seems one can do anything....

The Sphinx is between 10,000 and 15,000 years old according to the rainwater erosion on top and evidence of a much wetter climate along the Nile River in those times. The oldest Pyramid is 2-3,000 years (from memory) old. Climbing an Egyptian Pyramid is difficult without carrying or pulling a heavy load of blocks of stone. I suspect that there is much more to discover than our "modern minds" can comprehend.

Noting that the Australian Aborigines ancestors immigrated at least 50-60,000 years ago from India and beyond, and more recent research into the changes to vegetation, from ancient pine trees to fire loving gum trees and others, suggests to researchers that the immigrants could have arrived closer to 120,000 years ago. The Egyptians are modern people !!!
