I've been keeping an eye on this ever since I was an undergrad, which was a long time ago. The sky-is-falling crowd - almost always left wing - were saying that overpopulation (and capitalism) was going to use up all the world's resources leading to global disaster. But what happened? Every country now has an aging population, and some big countries, like Japan and Russia, have shrinking populations. And, yet, Paul Ehrlich, author of "The Population Bomb" in the 1960's, is still saying we're doomed. Ah well.

Yep, all bullshit!
I remember when the world population hit 2 Billion back about WW2. It is now 7.5 Billion and adding a Billion every 7 years.
I remember when Australia was 8 million people in about 1948, it is now near 25 million.
I remember when my city was hit million about the same year, it is now 4.5 Million.
I remember when America was 200 million. It is now 320 million.
I remember when China was 600 million. It is now 1.4 BILLION.
India is about the same.
We say over here, "She'll be right".
