An Egyptian-brokered ceasefire has come into effect, and I don't agree with it - the Hamas picked this fight, and the Israelis should finish it. Otherwise the terrorists will try and try again. We learned that lesson with Containment during the Cold War, and we should not repeat the same mistake.

For once, I'll agree with you. Until there is a permanent peace agreement in place, Israel will be at risk against her neighbors. Cease fires do nothing more than allow the enemy to resupply and get ready for more action.

Neoconservative commentator, Charles Krauthammer, has an article on why there's war in the Gaza - as history shows, the Israelis gave the land to the Palestinians, renounced all claims, left the orchards intact ... and the Palestinians voted in the Hamas who used the land as a base to fire rockets at Israel. Why should Israel tolerate this? Take back Gaza - the Palestinians have had their chance.
