They should take more 'refugees' from our peace loving muslim countries to the west of them.
About 15 million I expect.

Immigration could help alleviate the problem, but there are already tensions between the locals and the immigrants, not to mention the locals and the guest workers.

"tensions between the locals and the immigrants, not to mention the locals and the guest workers."
We would be accused of racism if we did that.

The locals and guest workers are ethnic Chinese.

Singapore wants to keep bringing people in, so economic growth and prosperity can continue, but this pyramid scheme will not go on forever. IOW, the island state will slow down at a far lower level of growth, which is a consistent theme across the world these days.

Singapore should pay a BIG 'baby bonus' like Australia does.
Don't bother about getting married, just keep churning out those kids.
All "'Pater incognita'.

Singapore has incentives to increase births, SJ, including forcing people to go on cruises and getting them into matchmaking parties, none of which have worked. In any case, Lee Kwan Yew has been hospitalized - he'll probably recover, but I'm curious as to what sort of reforms will happen when he goes.

I suggest he adds LOTS of Tadalafil to the water supply.

He could go to Bangcock and see how they handle the situation.

The situation sounds very similar to that of the United States. If on the other hand their problrm is a population decline, they should import Mexicans.

Not so similar, because Singapore doesn't have enough land, while the US is half a continent.

"Japan I think has a population of about a hundred mill they don't encourage immagrants ".
Japan takes NIL 'refugees' each year, and migration is severely restricted, and citizenship is almost impossible.
My nephew was apprenticed to one of Japans most famous potters and he had to come back to Australia before he could re-apply for a visa. They knocked him back on the second extension.
Some Sth Koreans have been there for 3 generations and cannot get citizenship.
