I will wager a tidy sum that a number of USN submarines, full of cruise missiles, are lurking in Korean waters.
In addition the B52s on Guam will be lined up ready to go, also with cruise missiles. No NK launch facility will last an hour after the communists move south. No bridge, or power station or military HQ will be safe.

In the current US budget situation, do you really want to take the burden of rebuilding NK?

In the current US budget situation, do you really want to take the burden of rebuilding NK? That's my concern - every time we beat a country, we have to pay them.

This situation is EASILY fixed!
You just arrive at a cost figure, and BORROW IT!
...and given that very few 'Foreign Holders' are still buying Bonds. then the FED can print the dollars and buy those Bonds.
Problem solved.

It seems that processes have started which are beyond the control of the young Kim. We might see a Chinese invasion into NK soon, the main factor why China is hesitating is that they have no long-term plan what do to with NK. There are resources, right, but it might cause a lot of problems with the occupation (it would be TibetĀ³) and the image of China in the world and especially in the neighboring countries in which China is already clashing from time to time.

North Korea's Kim has decided that 73-year old Pak Pong Ju will be the new PM of NK. He is said to be an expert for economic development has been in the same position from 2003-2007. Rumors have it, that a Chinese-Canadian lawyer, who had some lessons in economy and SEAL-combat, was among the other candidates for this position.

And the President of South Korea has said their military will respond to any provocations. Yes, Ma'am!
