War souvenirs were a hot item especially flags with the rear echelon people , we had a old Vietnamese man at Cu Chi that made NVA Flags by the dozen he would soak them in some kind of shit to make 'em look old and worn punch a couple bullet holes in them sold like hot cakes, the rear end dudes never caught on. Jerry might have bought one.

America needs that sort of "can do, get up and go" enterprize! A REAL (TN) capitalist would have set him up in a factory, ordered 10,000 a month and shipped them home to the States to flog off to the masses. A steal at $50 each!

Sometimes when we were flying Ashe 'n trash, C in C or Kia's into Bien Hoa we'd be around rear echelon people who wanted to send a genuine War souvenir home and of course we could help them out.
