The 185 Defenders at Los Alamos died to a Man but not before inflicting over 1500 Casualties of the Mexican Army , 6 weeks later at San Jacinto the Texans defeated Santa Ana killing 800 Mexicans in 18 minutes mostly using their long knives and bayonets , Many of the Mexicans saying Me no Alamo before they got their throat cut , a bloody business but that's how you win wars .

Of course!
The world will re-learn that lesson the hard way in a few years. The Yanks got to Tokyo simply because of killing japs wholesale.
John Wayne should have called in the 9th, and saved all that bloody mess at San Jacinto.

The 9th held on to Torburk While Big Mac was saving OZ from a fate worst than Death seems to me that the diggers were a bit confused about where they were supposed to be.

Like all good soldiers, except door gunners, they went where they were told.
And did what they were told, like giving Rommel his first of TWO hidings! The second was at El Alamein!
Big Mac was the biggest digger of all, especially in the basement of the Windsor Hotel here in Melbourne. No Bunker buster could reach him.
