The US National Council on Intelligence has put out a report describing its vision of the world in 2030, and it makes the reasonable prediction that there will be a larger global middle class and power will be more diffused. That's fair, but I'm wondering how much this cost the government, especially when the same conclusion can be reached by being a member of our august group and reading the daily posts.

Here in Europe there are there signs visible that societies are beginning to be slightly short of food.
To mention Spain as an example, there have been fishing wars where they have sent their fishing fleet to other nations' fishing waters; and when I visited Spain, and got myself a hamburger, it was heavily helped with some egg white protein.
BTW there is there the book "Nälkäpeli", "The Hunger Game" by Susan Collins, they made a famous film of it.
Prince Charles of the UK in an interview was concerned about overfishing destroying the oceans' fish populations.

Maybe they should 're-stock' the oceans with small fish.

Free markets will always solve the problem of shortages.

Freeing Zimbabwe would also help, the bread basket of Africa ruined by a dictator and other African nations not willing to confront him, for fear of also being under the microscope.
