He undoubtedly did, since he was a California employee - which is why the Golden State is insolvent.

He undoubtedly did, since he was a California employee - which is why the Golden State is insolvent. Did you read this part?“You had very strong, influential unions that were very supportive politically, very popular to the public and were very effective at inside lobbying, making their case to the Legislature,"And you wonder why I like unions?

Don, that is a very short sighted view. Look what the unions did to Hostess and what they are doing to California. Eating the goose may be good while it lasts, but don't expect any more golden eggs..... BTW since you are approaching retirement, what is the status of your state funded pension?

Eating the goose may be good while it lasts, but don't expect any more golden eggs..... BTW since you are approaching retirement, what is the status of your state funded pension? Quite good. I also have several hundred thousand saved up in my deferred comp. I don't feel like retiring yet. Having too much fun at work. In fact, I am at "work" right now, if we can call this sinecure as "work".
By the time I retire, if I ever do (I only "work" three nights per week as it is), I will also be receiving max Social Security.
But I might just drop dead on the job and never receive a penny.

The pension plans as they're set up cannot last, because it's a pyramid scheme, which means those younger than me will not get their pensions - it's a mathematical fact.
