It approves of the Canadian loonie, which is the dollar coin that has become a symbol of the country, but, when Congress tried to mint dollar coins in 2005, the public didn't bother, so the program was axed. I used to think the two countries should have a common currency, but, after seeing the problems with the Euro, I've changed my mind. There is also the economic theory of the optimal currency area, which states (to cut a long theory short) that sub-regions in a country may need different currencies to maximize their efficiency. But I still believe North America should have a customs union, which means free movement of goods and people.

We had nearly free movement of goods and people until 9/11 made everyone frightened of folks coming across the border....

It used to be $10,000.00. These are now worth around $100,000.00 each to collectors. I own none of those, but I do own several thousand dollar US notes as well as several $500.00 notes. They are worth several hundred dollars more than their face value, not ten times as with the much rarer 10K note.
There was also a $100,000.00 note, but it was only used to trade between banks and is still illegal for a private citizen to own.
