I would support an attack on North Korea, to prevent Dear Brat from getting a nuclear weapon, but I wonder if the bomb-making facilities are accessible.

The little fat boy is certainly accessible.... That would stop all provocative actions..... "Treat the illness - not the symptom"

How do we know he is accessible? He is NOT stupid, and will have a dozen bolt holes to get to in an hour or less, probably minutes, and all of them will be 500 feet down somewhere.
Useless to send the Seals Invincible Guard, very few would make it home alive. Do not forget Iran and Mogadishu!
The Tomahawk is your ace card!

You people are ALL armatures , the U.S. Cannot pre-empt on N. Korea until it has the ability to take out ALL of N. Koreas arms at the SAME time , ALL means ALL , the U.S. has 40,000 troops stationed in S. Korea who would be at serious risk , there is NO doubt the U.S. and S. Korea are getting things lined up to make all Happen .

The USA has I believe over 4000 Tomahawks.
Half that should zap all the launch facilities, command areas, power generation and distribution, bridges, railways, and air bases etc. Add the efforts of the USN air wings and USAF planes, door gunners etc taking out artillery sites, bases near the border and so on, and you should have near done the job.
The NK Army cannot march south without a reliable supply chain, and the means to defend it.

All of these attacks must be done at one time the same time there is NO doubt the Americans are capable of doing this but all avenues must be taken to reach a solution to appease the folks back home .

I thought they already proved that appeasement does not work. Just ask Neville Chamberlain.
OH! You mean in Tennessee?

Why is it when we are talking about military action to prohibit the development of nuclear weapons nearly everyone thinks of destroying the nuclear capability itself? No need to do that if you destroy the will and/or the capability to launch. Nuc's in the ground are not a threat.....

Would solve a lot of problems including the nuc issue....Would require some very sophisticated intel to assess how the masses would react to his demise. If there is support for him, his departure needs to look like an accident or an incurable illness. If there is little support for him, something less nuanced, like a drone strike, would do the job. Also need to be aware of who will replace him....

The Military Controls N. Korea not Kim who is in Power because it suits the Militaries agenda killing Kim would be like killing the head man of ISIS his replacement would be already in place , its very doubtful the people of N. Korea would rise up an over throw their Government they would simply be shot down at random .
