It was a shining star in the state because of its finances, but it's now running out of cash. It wants to privatize its garbage collection services, but the city union is opposed to it and wants to put the issue on the ballot. I'm all in favor of greater democracy, but I'm not sure everything should be put to a referendum. I mean, these issues are complex, so we should rely on our elected representatives to deal with them - that's why we elected them.

But how do the elected representatives in California deal with the unions? They cave into the uions. The Teacher's Uion is a great example of this.
In my opinion, we should consider selling California back to Mexico. (and that just might do away from some of this illegal imigration problem.)

I think that Mexico would charge us too much to GIVE it to them. Besides, Don probably can't speak Spanish.
