You win the bet, because I didn't know that. but it's apparently now part of Royal Roads Military College, so I presume it's owned by the Government of British Columbia.

When the subject of evacuation of the 2 Princesses was put to the Queen her response was,

"the princesses will not go without me, I will not go without the King, and he will NEVER leave"

End of discussion! Though I doubt the British Government would allow any of them to stay, all the way out to the 5th or 6th in line of succession.
