As if things weren't bad enough.
President Obama and Janet Napolitano appointed Arif Alikhan, a devout Muslim, as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development.
DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano swore-in Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim, who was born in Damascus, Syria, as ADC National Executive Director as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC). NOTE: Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified as a devout Catholic, a devout Jew or a devout Protestant?

What's wrong with appointing devout Muslims?

Ok, I'll take the bait and I won't be PC about it.
The same thing that's wrong with appointing any kind of Muslim to any position of authority in the US government. I don't trust them as far as I can throw them.

How about a devout Christian in the Saudi Arabian government?
You know, that country that BANS the Bible, and persecutes Christians!

I don't trust them as far as I can throw them. I don't trust anybody much who believes in superstitious nonsense over reality. Which religious nonsense they believe in usually makes very little difference. People will do anything for the god of their superstitious beliefs. Even otherwise good people because:
"Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it, you'd have good people doing good things and evil people doing bad things, but for good people to do bad things, it takes religion." - Steven Weinberg
Therefore:
"Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction." - -Pascal
