Snakes in the Garden of Eden? I guess Canada would be a much better place.

Far too cold for snakes in Canada! Exactly, which is why it's safer than Australia.

Far too cold for snakes in Canada! There are snakes that can tolerate cold. Rubber Boas (this area) have even been seen digging into a snow bank!-Don- Reno, NV

Good point, but the original thesis remains unchanged, namely, that Canada is superior to the land of ex-convicts.

My 7 transported convict ancestors are stiring in their graves, and you will be repaid with the rattle of chains above your bed. As a devoted genealogist I was simply over-joyed when I found my first convict back in the early 1990s. Dirt poor John Glasscock of Horseheath near Cambridge was charged with "Stealing a sack, and half a bushel of wheat" (30lbs) in 1845. Unable to afford the outrageous fee charged by blood sucking lawyers, he took the rap in favour of his accomplice son and was given 7 years in beautiful down town Hobart Town in Van Diemens Land. As was very rare, virtually unknown, the family were re-united here in Victoria in 1851. His genes live on, producing many productive, prosperous, handsome, generous, and kind descendents. All of 'em hate lawyers! SJ

And the divorce lawyers know a bunch of jealous husbands who owe them favours.
