From our one president who knew how to balance budgets without making a big mess out of everything:
"In Tampa, the Republican argument against the President's re-election was pretty simple: we left him a total mess, he hasn't cleaned it up fast enough, so fire him and put us back in,"
--Bill Clinton

Your hero put us in debt another four trillion dollars, unemployment has gone up since he has been in office, and gas prices have about doubled.

If not all wasted overseas, as Baby Bush did, I won't complain about it much. And you cannot blame Obama for stuff such as gasoline prices and unemployment, IMO. -Don-

Where was the money spent? Some time ago I gave you a list of green energy companies and the amounts that were spent on them. Remember a good percentage of those companies went bankrupt. That is where some of the money was spent. Then we had the automobile bailouts. There are not many people that can tell you where the majority of the money was rat holed.
As for unemployment, Obama kept the gulf drilling shut down for over a year. This put about 200,000 out of work for that period of time. The restrictions imposed by EPA have had an effect on unemployment also. And remember he stopped the pipeline construction and then turned around and blamed the pipeline for the “delay”. That project could have put a few thousand people to work. In general, Obama’s actions have not been supportive of labor.

I read somewhere recently that the various federal welfare programs consume 1.x Trillion during the reporting period (I think it was last year)
And - if we could produce less expensive energy, it could go a long way to growing the manufacturing industry in the US to its previous glory. Energy is used in the manufacture of products, the transport of the goods, the shipment of raw materials, etc. It is a large part of the cost of production. If we can produce more cheaply - we can compete with the low labor markets more effectively. I am becoming more and more convinced - low cost energy is a definite benefit - and Obama is anti-energy, unless it cost much and is inefficient (solar, wind, hot air, etc)

What does the USA want to produce? They don't have the necessary infrastructure anymore; they don't have the required tools and patents. Even if you would get energy for free it won't make any sense to heavily invest into low price product market. The prices in India, Brazil and Mexico are climbing, but the production is moving to North Korea, Cambodia, Vietnam and parts of Africa where work is so cheap that nobody else can compete, even if you have to throw away 50%.
But maybe you can grow Marihuana. I read it is now legal in some parts of the USA.

That is where some of the money was spent. Then we had the automobile bailouts. So how many jobs were saved during that time because of Obama's bailouts? There are not many people that can tell you where the majority of the money was rat holed. Most likely, it had something to do with the expenses left by that idiot Baby Bush. As for unemployment, Obama kept the gulf drilling shut down for over a year. This put about 200,000 out of work for that period of time. The restrictions imposed by EPA have had an effect on unemployment also. Would you like to get rid of the EPA? And remember he stopped the pipeline construction and then turned around and blamed the pipeline for the “delay”. That project could have put a few thousand people to work. In general, Obama’s actions have not been supportive of labor. Then can you please explain why all the labor unions were supporting Obama over Romney? -Don- SF, CA

Airplanes, Tanks, Cars, Steel, Railcars, Trucks, Oil Drilling Rigs, Ships, Food of all types, Lumber, Cotton, Plastics, Synthetics, Medicine..... all the thing we used to produce in quanity and all of which would benefit from less expensive energy to produce and transport....

Don, Don, Don.... The labor unions are no longer looking out for the worker. The labor unions are looking out for the labor union bosses. They support Obama because he is labor union friendly, ensuring that it is easier for the union bosses to 'recruit' members (card check), thereby ensuring larger unions and increased dues. Union membership has been decreasing over the years and it is only by using 'questionable' methods that they continue to exist in their depleated state that they do today (right to work states seem to be doing economically than states which require union membership to hold certain jobs) Looking to who labor unions support is not a good indicator of who is supported by the members of that union. (Side note: I do believe the Government Employees Union is the largest in the country - is it any question as to why they would support the guy who is signing their paychecks?)

IMO, they look out for both, the best they can. Who would you expect Romney to look out for? Perhaps the people of Iraq, in the same ways as Baby Bush? -Don- Reno, NV
