I've been told several times, but still can't understand, how to link an article, page, web site etc. The only way I know how is to bring up the page or part that I want to line, copy the URL and then paste it in my subsequent post. Those of you who know how (apparently everyone but me ;D) please help. When you link something, I read the link in blue letters using a word or few words and no URL. Swampy and Jerry do it all the time.
Would someone try to walk me through this - again - in Dummy 101 style?

Click on the url icon.
You will have [u*rl][/u*rl] - I've put in the asterisks so it will stay on as text, but you will of course take the asterisks out at the proper time.
Put the link address in between the two - [u*rl=link address][/u*rl]
If you have text, as in "this is the news item", then insert it in betwen the url quotes - [u*rl]this is the news item[/u*rl]
And you're done. Your post should have
[u*rl=link address]this is the news item[/u*rl]

Denny - here's the format for doing what you would like to do [u*rl=XXXX][text][/u*rl] Substitute your URL for the XXXX and the words you want to appear for the "text". Again, as in Swampy's advice, take the * out and have it read just url. The brackets [] are necessary in the exact place they are in the example.
[text]

It's early in the morning - Jerry is right, and I've amended my post accordingly.

Jeez, I'm sure it isn't complicated, but it sufre seems like it is. I wish there was a one-button type of thing. ;D

Oh, you sure know how to hurt an old man! Now if I can just convince my wife to divorce me and then find a young, beautiful woman who is dumb enough to wnat me. Nah, I couldn't handle it anyway. As far as kids, I subscribe to the Johnathan Lamb (I think) theory.

Do it, and I'll modify your post. Ok, let's do this simple one (I'll see the resluts in the morning). This is how you do it

You know, Premier was talking about getting young wives, and Denny talks about "resluts". I wonder if there's something Freudian somewhere.
