I'm using Firefox 16.0 and I have cookies set to turn into session cookies rather than permanent cookies. I have this site set to allow permanent cookies. (Same as GA not that anybody wants to discuss them.)

greg,
I would assume that if you are the only one with this problem, then it lies in your computer somewhere. As I said possibly settings of some sort. Given that I am far from an expert, that is just a guess.
Try IE perhaps? I sometimes skip from one to the other if I have a problem.

Perhaps somebody can tell me if they can stay logged in, or whether they have to login every site visit. In some respects I AM an IT guy. It's a subset (minor subset) of my engineering skills. What would really help is to have an answer: (1) nobody has the ability to stay logged in, or (2) some people are able to stay logged in. If there are some (2) answers then I can figure out what I need to stay logged in. If nobody can stay logged in then I won't waste my time. Really, you should get your own hosting account. This Proboards stuff is amateur. I'm not an IT guy, but I solved it by creating a macro so all I have to do to log in is to hit one key...Quite simple...

No one is looking into the fact that Greg is the only one that seems to have a problem logging in , the only one . would that not suggest something to anyone ? .

How about trying Google Chrome? I use that to get to this forum, and there's no problem.

Greg,
The global moderator has suggested you clear your browser's cache (temporary internet files), because there may be a problem with your browser cookies. If not, then you may want to try another browser - like I said, I am using Google Chrome.

How about trying Google Chrome? I use that to get to this forum, and there's no problem. Nobody is going to change their favorite browser for just one forum. Come on Swampy, spend $50 a year on a hosting account from 1&1 and switch to SMF (simplemachines.org) and you can import your current member base and posts, and then you can have full control of your forum instead of kissing ass at Proboards. They should call themselves Amateurboards.
