I got the forum cookies on the exclusion list (my browser keeps them) but I have to login every time I visit the forum. Since I use a different password on every site I have to keep looking it up on a list, and that's becoming a PITA.
Is there any way to fix that?

Well if I can't find a way to automatically login to this forum I'm just going to quit it, because it's too much of a PITA to look up my password every time I visit the site.
Stanley you should migrate your forum to your own domain, and install SMF (Simple Machines Forum - simplemachines.org). It will cost you about $50 a year for hosting and I'll help you with the techie stuff.
I'm not going to look up my password every time I visit this site. Maybe for now, but if a solution cannot be found then it's just not worth the trouble.

Greg, could this be due to your computer as opposed to the forum? Perhaps an IT guy can check it out.

Perhaps somebody can tell me if they can stay logged in, or whether they have to login every site visit.
In some respects I AM an IT guy. It's a subset (minor subset) of my engineering skills.
What would really help is to have an answer: (1) nobody has the ability to stay logged in, or (2) some people are able to stay logged in.
If there are some (2) answers then I can figure out what I need to stay logged in. If nobody can stay logged in then I won't waste my time.
Really, you should get your own hosting account. This Proboards stuff is amateur.

I don't have that problem, and, as far as I know, no one else does. I can ask the support people, but I'm not sure what else I can do. If this forum cookies is on your exclusion list, would that be the problem???

Goodbye Greg don't let the door hit you in the ass . Hey, kiss my ass. You seem like a jerk anyway, no big loss to me. If you had any brains you'd be offering a technical solution instead of insults.

If this forum cookies is on your exclusion list, would that be the problem??? No, the forum is on my inclusion list. It's on the list of sites that are allowed to set permanent cookies.

Don't worry about Hornet - he's just trying to jerk your chain.
Anyway, I've asked for help on your issue, so stay tuned.

Don't worry about Hornet - he's just trying to jerk your chain. Anyway, I've asked for help on your issue, so stay tuned. Thanks Stanley. It would be a big help to know if I'm the only person who can't stay logged in, or if some people can and some can't, or if nobody can stay logged in. You gotta understand my POV. I want to add to the momentum to help your forum succeed, but it's difficult if there are obstacles like not being able to stay logged in. At some point it just becomes easier to not visit the forum. So I need an answer: (1) am I the only person who can't stay logged in? (2) can some stay logged in and others not? (3) or does everybody have to login every time? If I knew the answer to the question above I could start a reasonable fault isolation analysis and discover why I can't stay logged in. So let's spare the insults and stick to the techie details.

Internet Explorer, latest version, and also Adblock Plus, which may be a problem for some depending on settings.
These things are often settings/options/preferences etc somewhere.
