Giap ( pronounced Jape ) was a worthy opponent , he did a lot with a little , his loses during tet were terrible ( 110.000 killed a NVA or VC division = 9000 men women and children ) , but he got the U.S. OUT of the WAR .

Close to a military genius. If his forces had not used such brutal tactics, he might be a military man to admire....

Yes the massacre of 3000 civilians at Hue didn't help his cause any but the Americans and the ARVN could be pretty brutal themselves .

Our peace loving muslim brothers have learned Giap's lesson well.
Kill a few Americans, get the pics on the 6PM news, and you have beaten them.
It took 55,000 for Giap to win, now it takes about 4000. It will be 500 next time, and 150 the time after. It took 18 to get you out of Somalia.

If the Empire had Giap they wouldn't have lost Singapore , the Empire would have been in Caen the day before D-DAY and Rommel wouldn't have been able to get out Germany .
